I’d like to try to create a clockify addon mostly for myself (may release for public if it’s useful). But how can I start developing without having to create a full app with screenshots and all, if I don’t have the app built yet? I’m confused how to start.

You can develop the add-on without having to have screenshots, and just install it in the developer test accounts in the Add-on tab in the workspace settings.
If you’re planning to only use it in your (or two more) workspace, you can then create a Private add-on which won’t be visible for everyone.
